Social Enterprise Manager

PURPOSE
To support FACE’s mission of restoring hope and renewing neighborhoods by leading and managing our two social enterprises, Rock Pile Landscaping (RPL) and Moving On Up (MOU), while assisting the Executive Director in advancing FACE’s core values within the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Enterprise Management
● Oversee operations of RockPile Landscaping and Moving On Up, managing client relationships, project bids, and team coordination.
● Hire, train, and supervise staff, collaborating with on-site supervisors for development and performance.
● Manage scheduling, workforce coordination, and equipment maintenance.
● Drive business growth through marketing strategies, employee incentives, and client development.
● Maintain operational systems for job tracking, inventory, and customer relations.
● Coordinate finances with the FACE Administrator, handling billing and record-keeping.
● Ensure compliance with safety standards, HR policies, training, and performance evaluations.

Team Leadership and Development
● Lead and support the RockPile Landscaping and MOU teams, fostering a mission-driven work culture.
● Coach employees, ensuring accurate time reporting and a positive workplace environment.
● Represent FACE at board meetings, network events, and partnership gatherings.
● Support crisis care management alongside the Executive Director and community resources.
● Ensure program continuity by assisting with management in the Executive Director’s absence.

Program Support
● Oversee the March to Manhood Workforce Cohort, including logistical support for participants, class materials, and individual development plans with administrative support.
● Oversee the administrator tracking the attendance, career navigation goals, and financial progress for participants, especially those saving for the savings match.
● Help participants overcome personal and employment barriers, offering resources in areas like transportation, education, legal needs, and child care.

Special Events and Fundraising
● Plan and coordinate field trips that encourage team bonding and provide opportunities for community service.
● Support the planning and execution of special events, including the annual fundraising banquet and other initiatives as needed.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
● Self-starter with strong business administration experience.
● College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
● Proficiency in office software (e.g., Google Workspace, QuickBooks) and ability to work in both office and hands-on environments.
● Passion for community development and social enterprise, with a heart for serving others.
● Strong conflict resolution and coaching skills.
● Experience with scheduling and logistics management.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Experience in small business management or entrepreneurship.
● Supervisory experience leading teams.
● Familiarity with trauma-informed care or mentorship models.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is based in an office setting within a faith-based organization, with occasional travel required for site visits, field trips, and community events. While standard office hours apply, flexibility is needed based on project needs. This role also involves hands-on work at times, stepping in to lead teams when supervisors are absent.

Reports To | Loren Dubberke, Executive Director of FACE
Commitment | 25-30 hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours per week based on the needs of the organization. 
Compensation
| Hourly wage between $25-$30 per hour, based on experience. Opportunities for bonuses!
